About

Hello there! My name is Hannah, I'm a 20 year old living in North West England, and I've had this little blog since 2012. My good friend Kendal joined back in 2012 too, but a bit later on. We blog about books, our lifestyle from time to time, and confidence. But the blog is mainly dedicated to books.

There are a few things I do on this blog that are something a regular feature that you won't find anywhere else:

There have been a few regular features in the past that you can look back on, but I don't do anymore:
  • Poetry Wednesday: I wrote a poem and shared it with you, but I would rather keep my writing separate from my blog now
  • Short Story Wednesday: I shared short stories with you, but this again was something that I would now rather not share
  • Fanfiction Focus: I read some amazing fanfiction and share it with you, telling you why I like it (this could make a comeback if enough people are interested)
There are always plans to switch things up and create new features, and since I'm always looking to improve my blog, there will sometimes be different things for you. However, what you can always expect from me are:

I have loved books since birth. I spent each day as I child reading and writing and all of my memories are basically my mind wandering off and imagining the next story I would write or the book I would read. My education is very important to me and I strongly believe that if I hadn't read so much as a child, I certainly wouldn't be writing this blog now.

I started this blog one day to get my message out, encourage more young people to read and to interact with others who do. I post most days except for Sunday and Kendal posts on a Friday.

We really hope you enjoy the blog and if you do, leave us a lovely comment or two! It feels so rewarding to see that other people have enjoyed our writing as much as we love doing it.

  4. How about if a non-technical 72-year-old self-publisher of science fiction about giant intelligent termites follows you? Is that too far out? LOL

  6. eBook review request - Fancy Pants Poetry

Hello Han and Kendal, I found your blog on BookTweetingService. I'm promoting my eBook titled Fancy Pants Poetry. Would you consider reviewing it?

    Cover IMG: http://i.imgur.com/nYupU3z.jpg
    Cover by: Samantha Scafidi

The poetry you'll meet in this collection will be biting, defensive, cynical and sarcastic. Dark humour is used to elaborate upon bleak life outlooks. At many times the spirit in these poems are rooted in antonymous rebellion. All that said, the reader will also encounter various instances synonymous with the proverbial "light at the end of tunnel".

  8. Hello BookFangirling:

I thought you'd might enjoy a free advanced release e-copy of the brand new sci-fi fantasy comedy 11,984.  This is not a conventional novel. It contains a lot of creative innovations, including punctuation from the future.

Thousands of years in the future, humanity has finally eradicated war, poverty, and all forms of human suffering. With no problems or unanswered questions remaining in the world, everyone is bored out of their minds, that is until the sun starts putting on a light show, the first warning sign it's getting ready to supernova!

Our heroes from the year 11,984 are your typical family of two mothers, three fathers, a couple of kids, and plenty of robots. Fun-loving Troll, so called because of her giant troll doll hair(They don't have names in the future, or wear clothes) is the world's leading hydrologist/interior decorator, whose plans to retire quickly change when faced with the drought to end all droughts. Bulb, bald head glowing like a lightbulb, is the cranky Minister of Rational Thought. His faith in science is tested by the total collapse of society. Last but not least is Litterbot, the clumsy garbagebot who gets no respect, and whose highest priority--to clean--is frustrated by a world without messes.

As the family works on building an escape spaceship, the sun bombards them in changing colors, which unbeknownst to them causes radiation insanity. The sky colors keep growing stronger, and these totally peaceful people are at each other's throats. It gets so bad their bodies mutate (which helps them work faster) and world computer crashes (forcing them to read primitive paper books, and rely more on Litterbot.) Will they launch before getting smashed to pieces?

My first humor novel, Foxavier and Plinka, was published in 2013, and is also available.

May I email the complete 11,984 manuscript of 75,000 words?

    Thank you.
